With a view to:
Peacekeeping and Peace Support
Activecommitment to peace projects aimed at stabilising world peace through:
- Fundamental support of all peace plans and peace missions proposed and pursued either by countries or international organisations.
- Collaboration with international organisations and parties who work for peace and who contribute actively to the mobilisation of resources and thus prevent war-mongering activity – whatever its motivation.
- Support of all efforts by regional institutions and international organisations aimed at the ending of conflicts: for example, by the United Nations (UN) or the European Union (EU) and their respective specialised agencies, as well as by the Arab League.
- Cooperation with all countries and organisations to ensure that the countries of the Near and Middle East, as well as the Gulf Region remain free from weapons of mass destruction of any description.
Democracy as Leadership Form
Introduction andsupport for democracy in all countries of the Arab world in a way that takes account both of the particular character and qualities of the Arab people and of the autonomy of each country, and without this involving any intervention on the part of external forces.
Human Rights
Defence of human rights in the firmly held belief that each and every human being, purely by right of being human, is possessed of equal rights, upon which no limitations may be imposed by any form of government, whether by an individual or by a group governing through the exercise of absolute power. These rights are enshrined in the UN Charter.
Globalisation
Support for the idea of globalisation and, with it, support also for the networking and exchange of people, goods, information and capital, taking into account the social, economic, political and cultural distinctiveness of the different peoples and on condition that the necessary measures involve no interference in the internal affairs of a country.
Energy and Raw Materials
Worldwide cooperation on the supply and distribution of energy and raw materials for the mutual benefit of all countries involved.
Cooperation and Development
Support for all plans and activities on the part of both governmental and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) aimed at combating famine and ensuring the quality and safety of food supplies.
